Gainsbourg Biopic

Great! a few of my Gainsbourg portraits became part of the Dutch promotion flyer for the Joan Sfar movie about Gainsbourg life. Can't wait to see it. Maybe there will be a small exebhition with some samples of Joan's illustration work , Hanco Kolk and myself. I'll keep you posted about that.

I received some new studiofriends from Japan the other day. Apparently the pink rabbit is the mascot from a big language school in Japan that went bankrupt this year. It seems the staff were filling their pockets with lots of Yens. That must be the reason why the rabbit is not so popular anymore.

I couldn't resist uploading this picture I got from Christina Guitian. She made the staff section of the Emma children's hospital and did a wonderfull job. I will upload some pictures of her work later.

Emma childrens hospital

Just finished a great job for the nursery section of the Emma children's hospital in Amsterdam. You will still see some people walking around and giving the final touches to the interior. The theme of the murals I made was "Hortus Botanicus" I created 8 walls with themes that can be interpreted as botanical themes and parenting themes (or parenthood) as well. For instance
"growing", "admire" and "feed". Through the whole department there are little seeds that look like babies flying around. The little seeds are also printed on transparent foil so they could be placed on the glass doors.
To accompany the flowers and plants I created some characters based on the botanical world.
